Cian is a fish who wishes he could fly.
But fish live in water so fish don't fly.
All day long Cian swims round and round in his pool.
All day long he watches the birds. He watches the insects. He even watches the colourful kites soaring high in the sky.
Cian really, really wishes he could fly.
Then, one day, the wind blows a page from a magazine into his pool.
Cian watches it sink to the bottom.
There is a picture on the page, a picture of a fish with wings, a fish that can fly!
So Cian looks at the picture, closes his fish eyes and... Cian really, really wishes he could fly.

'I'm late, I'm late, I'm late again' gasped Niamh as she ran through the school gates.
'You're late, you're late, you're late again' said her teacher.
'Sorry Miss! It's my schoolbag,' said Niamh. 'It's so heavy and I can't run any faster.'
'Well you'll just have to leave home a bit earlier then,' said her teacher, crossly.
But Niamh loved to sleep right until the buzzing alarm clock fell off her bookshelf in the morning.
So when she got home from school that day Niamh emptied everything out of her schoolbag. That was when she heard a big sigh from inside her schoolbag.
'Oh, what a relief!'
A schoolbag that could talk!
Niamh watched in amazement as her schoolbag rose up off the floor and began to float around her bedroom.

'YOU HAVE BEEN TERMINATED. GAME OVER, LOSER!'
'Not again!' cried Eoin as he dropped the game controller to the floor in despair and slumped backwards.
Eoin watched the rain run down the living room window, drop by drop by drop. It was already a long, wet afternoon and now that he had failed (again) to get to the last level of 'Seasons of the Moon' it was going to be longer still. All his friends had made it. They said it was the best game level of all time and he so wanted to be part of it too.
'Duh! Dullsville' Eoin thought as he looked around the grey, almost empty room.
Which is exactly when he spotted a curl of cable poking from the box of old toys beside the sofa. Eoin knelt down beside the box and pulled at the cable, and pulled, and pulled some more. Finally, out popped a very old-looking computer console. He wiped away a thick layer of dust and there it was: his Dad's very old Sigma Spectra GX10 game console!
'Not so Dullsville any more!' yelled Eoin to nobody in particular.
He fished out some more cables until he found one that connected the Sigma Spectra GX10 to the TV. Then he plugged in his controller, pressed the power button and he was off...
