What are points and how do they work?

In order to claim your box of cereal you need to collect three unique codes from promotional packs. Each Kellogg’s code is worth 10 points when you enter them on the promotional website www.kelloggsrewards.co.uk or www.kelloggsreward.ie You can then use your points to claim your free box of cereal. (It takes 30 points to claim one box of cereal.) Alternatively you can use your points to claim other offers (such as two for one tickets on days out) or you can build up your points to get other offers. What is Coinks®?

Coinks® is a loyalty network that Kellogg's have partnered with in order to provide extra benefits, value and choice to its consumers. In order to claim your free box of cereal you will be directed to the Coinks website where you will be asked to enter your three unique codes. It will be on this site that you will be given the option of obtaining your free box of cereal or using your codes for alternative offers.

Who are Couponstar?

Couponstar are an online coupon provider that Kellogg's have partnered with. Couponstar ensure all Kellogg's Free Cereal coupons are safe to download and print off and provide the software that enables consumers to do this. Couponstar coupons are accepted in all major retailers.

I want to take part in the promotion but do not have internet access. How can I take part?

If you do not have access to the internet at home or work, why not ask a friend or a member of your family if you can use their internet?

Alternatively please call Kellogg’s careline on 0800 626066 (UK) or 1800 626066 (RoI) between 8:00am and 6:00pm Monday to Friday with your codes and they may be able to arrange for a coupon to be posted to you. The coupon will then be with you within seven working days.

The claim by date on the front of the pack says 30.06.10 - will there be packs in stores up until this time?

The majority of packs will be in stores between April and June 2009 and we strongly advise consumers to participate in the promotion within these three months to avoid disappointment. The reason we are giving consumers up until 30.06.10 to claim is because there will potentially be packs in stores up until this date. However the reality is we cannot guarantee all consumers will be able to find promotional packs in market after June 2009 so please hurry while stocks last.

How long does it take for me to get my coupon?

Providing that you have all three codes, you will be able to obtain your coupon straight away. All you have to do is visit www.kelloggs-coinks.co.uk or www.kelloggs-coinks.ie and follow the instructions. You will then be given the opportunity to print off the coupon immediately.

Is the consumer claim by date the final date I must enter online, or the final date I can use my coupon?

The 30.06.10 date is the final day you can enter your codes and claim a coupon. Coupons claimed on this date are valid until 31.07.10.

I do not have a printer attached to my computer, how can I get my coupon?

If you do not have a printer please choose the option to have your coupon posted to you. This option will be given once you have entered your codes and clicked on the ‘Claim my coupon’ button. You will be given two options, one that says ‘Print my coupon’ and the other that says ‘Don’t have a printer? Post my coupon’. Please click on the second link (please see image below for how this will appear on screen) and enter the name and address that you would like your coupon posted to. The coupon will then be with you within seven workings days.

How long is the coupon valid for?

The coupon is valid for 30 days from the date that it is printed.

I have a food allergy - how can I find out which cereals I need to avoid and choose the right coupon?

The Kellogg's website www.kelloggs.co.uk/products displays the ingredients and allergy information for each product on offer so you can check before you choose your coupon. The potential allergens for each product are also shown on www.kelloggs-coinks.co.uk or www.kelloggs-coinks.ie

Which packs do I need to buy in order to claim my Free Cereal?

In order to participate in the Free Cereal offer you need purchase any three packs of the following Kellogg's cereals. These packs need to have the "CLAIM YOUR FREE BOX OF CEREAL" promotional message on the front of the pack:

  • Rice Krispies 600g
  • Coco Pops 600g
  • Coco Pops 800g
  • Crunchy Nut 750g
  • Frosties 750g

Do I have to buy three packs of the same cereal to claim my free box or can I buy different packs?

You do not have to buy three of the same Kellogg's packs, you can collect codes from any combination of the following packs to claim your free box of cereal:

  • Coco Pops 600g
  • Coco Pops 800g
  • Crunchy Nut 750g
  • Frosties 750g
  • Bran Flakes 750g

Can I claim more than one free box of cereal?

Yes, you can claim as many free boxes of cereal as you like provided you collect and use a different set of three codes each time you claim.

I bought some Kellogg's cereal to take part in the offer but it does not have a unique code inside the box, what do I do?

Please check that you have a promotional pack by checking if the promotional message ‘Claim your free box of cereal’ is on the front. If your pack is a promotional pack, you should be able to find the unique code on the inside front panel as per the illustration below. If there is no code, please contact the Kellogg’s careline on (UK) 0800 626066 or (RoI) 1800 626066 between 8:00am and 6:00pm, Monday to Friday.

The free pack I would like to claim is not available in my local store - what should I do?

Some of our products are unfortunately not available in all stores. We will be happy to help you find a store that stocks the product you require if you call the Kellogg's careline number. (UK) 0800 626066 or (RoI) 1800 626066 between 8:00am and 6:00pm, Monday to Friday. Please note however the careline may not be able to tell you whether an individual store stocks the product, they will be only be able to tell you the store groups e.g. Tesco, Sainsbury's, Asda, Morrisons etc that will hopefully stock them. Perhaps call ahead to your local retailer to check whether they stock the free box you would like, to avoid any disappointment?

We have offered alternatives to some of the lesser-stocked product varieties on the same coupon in case you would like to try something else.

Whereabouts on the pack can I find my unique code?

You should be able to find the unique code on the inside front panel as per the illustration below. If there is no code, please contact the Kellogg’s careline on (UK) 0800 626066 or (RoI) 1800 626066 between 8:00am and 6:00pm, Monday to Friday.

Are the unique codes easy to read?

We have carefully selected the characters used to make up the codes so that they can't be confused. We have taken out characters such as O and 0 for example. Please refer to the table below which details any potential tricky characters used in our codes:

My coupon has expired, can I get a new one?

Kellogg's are unable to provide additional coupons if your coupon validity has expired, however if you collect three more codes you can still claim another coupon.

My retailer will not accept my coupon, what do I do now?

It is the policy of the major retailers to accept securely printed coupons and all major supermarkets are used to accepting Couponstar coupons. However in the instance that the retailer does not accept your coupon please call the Kellogg’s customer careline on (UK) 0800 626066 or (RoI) 1800 626066 between 8:00am and 6:00pm, Monday to Friday. They will arrange for the retailer to be contacted in order to confirm the coupon is authentic. They will also send you a letter of authenticity to show to the store.

Why are the packs you can claim for free different to the ones you have to buy to get the coupon?

We wanted to give consumers that obviously enjoy Kellogg's classic brands, a chance to taste some of our newer products.

Can I redeem any other cereals for free other than the ones on offer?

The Free Cereal offer is only redeemable on the cereals specified.

How do I set up my Coinks account?

Go to the "Sign Up" page via www.kelloggs-coinks.co.uk or www.kelloggs-coinks.ie and complete the form. Please make sure you enter your current email address correctly, otherwise Coinks will not be able to authenticate you.

Coinks will send you a welcome message by email. The email will contain a web link. Please just click on the link to complete the registration process.

If, for whatever reason, you do not receive the welcome message then please send an email to support@coinks.com stating your username and Coinks will help you complete the registration process.

I've forgotten my Coinks password. What do I do?

Click on the "Login" button at the top of the screen. You will be presented with a login screen. Scroll down and enter your email address, we will then email you with a link that allows you to reset your password.

How do I log on?

Once you have registered, you can log-in to your account any time by clicking on the "Log-in" link at the top right hand corner of any page.

How do I enter my code?

Go to "Enter Codes" at www.kelloggs-coinks.co.uk or www.kelloggs-coinks.ie and enter your unique code. Each Kellogg's code is worth 10 points and the points will be added to your personal Coinks account. The points will appear in your Coinks account balance which you can find under the "Your Account&qout; page.

I do not have a coloured printer, can I print my coupon on a black and white printer?

Yes you are able to print the coupon on either a black and white or coloured printer - retailers recognise that consumer printed coupons are often printed in black and white.

I have followed all of the instructions but cannot print out my coupon.

In order to install the Coupon Printer you will need one of the following software packages:

What is the Coupon Printer?

To print a coupon you will need to install a programme called Coupon Printer onto your computer. The Coupon Printer ensures your coupon is printed securely and that the barcodes scan in store. It is a free safe and simple program that is 100% guaranteed not to harm your computer. The Coupon Printer is endorsed by Microsoft and Verisign.

I believe I have the right programmes on my computer to be able to install the Coupon Printer but it still won't install properly. Why can't I install the Coupon Printer?

If you are experiencing problems installing the Coupon Printer there may be a few reasons for this:

  1. You may not have permission to download programmes on your computer or you are using software that blocks the installation.

    If you are trying to print coupons at work or from a computer at a library, internet cafe or university, you may not have permission to download and install programs onto the computer you are using. This may be true even if you've downloaded and installed other programs. Please contact the person in charge of IT in the place where you are using the computer and ask them for more information. If you have a home computer, you may find it easier to access our coupons there. Alternatively please call the careline on (UK) 0800 626066 or (RoI) 1800 626066 and they may be able to arrange for a coupon to be posted to you.

  2. There may be programs already on your computer that are preventing installation of the Coupon Printer software.

    Please temporarily turn off any anti-virus software, anti-spyware or adware software. Couponstar has attempted to work with most of the major publishers of such software to ensure that the Coupon Printer is not blocked, however there may be programs that block the installation, or put up a warning that you are about to install a program. If these messages pop up please choose to allow the installation. Please note, after you have installed the software please turn your anti-virus software back on.

  3. The security settings in your computer are set too high.

    If you receive warnings or errors that an attempt to install an ActiveX control (Internet Explorer) or a plugin was blocked, or you are asked for permission to install a program, you may need to change your computer's security settings to allow installation of the compound printer. Also, make sure you click the buttons in any pop up boxes that appear to allow the installation. Please note after you have installed the software please re-adjust your security settings to how they were before you installed the software.

How do I install the Coupon Printer?

Sounds tempting, but no! The Challenge is designed as a kick-start only and shouldn't be carried on after the 2 weeks are up.

In order to install the Coupon Printer please follow the following steps:

  1. Go to www.kelloggrewards.co.uk or www.kelloggrewards.ie
  2. Click on the link: start the download
  3. Select "Run" from the box that appears.

  4. Select "Run" from the box that appears when the file is downloaded.

  5. Your Coupon Printer software will then be safely installed on your computer and can be used asap.

How do I uninstall the Coupon Printer?

The Coupon Printer is quick and easy to uninstall should you choose to. For most PC’s the easiest way to remove the Coupon Printer is as follows:

  • Go to your “Windows Start” menu (usually found at the bottom left of your screen).
  • Click on “Programs”.
  • Go to the control panel within that menu.
  • Click “Coupon Printer”.
  • Then click “Uninstall”.

How can I tell if my printer will be able to print the coupons?

Please note that ONLY printers that print onto paper can print the coupons. Alternative non paper based printers (Flash, Adobe/PDF, Queue stackers, File printers etc) are not supported due to fraud protection measures.
